Hi there...
Ive had my tt for about a year now and would like to try a different combination of tubes, i was wondering if anyone could recommend some tubes that might give me a brighter tone? (I'd like to add that im a complete tube noob, so any help would be appreciated!!)

Hi mate, welcome to the forum! When I took my TT to be looked at by Ade Elmsley he re-tubed it with JJ's.. Maybe try those

Take a look at the valves you already have in there. What brand are they?
If you want brighter tone, i'd avoid the JJs as they are typically darker, warmer and cleaner sounding than most of the others.

My Tiny Terror came with all JJ's to.
I swapped out the 12AX7's with the
new reissue Tung Sols, and swapped out
the EL84's with EI's...found it IMHO
brighter.
Also used RFT 12AX7's
and EH EL84's. Thought that
was brighter too.
The above are only my personal
experience, normally out of whack,
and useless to many!
