im looking for a good overdrive pedal...and there are probably threads already about this certain topic, but let's be honest, who really wants to search for them.j/k
The ideal OD pedal wouldnt be too heavily distorted at all..
any suggestions?
also, has anyone ever used the VOX dualoverdrive or the VOX big ben? just wondering how those work..
anyways, any suggestions would be awesome...thanks guys.:D

The Fulltone OCD
The Barber Small Fry
The BBE Green Screamer
The D2B Cream Tone ( awesome, current personal favorite )
Mi Audio Crunchbox
The Timmy

There's tons more, you really need to
get out and play them...some you will love
that I would hate, and some you will love, that I will
hate...

marks right as usual!... also the amp your playing through is a big factor, and guitar ur using.. they can sound very different with different setups!..

at the moment, im using a tt with a tube screemer. its very good in my oppinion, set clean the ts9 is great for mild overdrive.

i also like a treble boost, however its a personal preference thing, some people hate em - your really need to use the tone knob on your guitar at times to get the best out of em..

you could use a tube screemer on ur clean channel for adding crunch.. using ur od for od!.. and then the tube screemer on the od channel for bits where u needed a boost...

a clean boost may do this, not sure how much gain they add to a pretty clean amp though?...

just saying, dont limit it to just od pedals to try, i think i prefer boosts to od's...

Alright Mark, my ears were burning.[:(!][:p]:):D I have always loved heavy music, as long as it has melody, solos, and you still hear it in your head when you shut it off.
But, I still love the blues too. Probably just as much.

Hi, I would recommend you to try IBANEZ TS-808.
A lot of people praise this pedal.
It was only when I got the tiny terror amp, I understood why.
The sound it produces is not an exact copy of a driven amp (compared to a tiny terror driven amp), But it damn close.
Try it, you might like it.

TS-808 colors the sound for sure. Depends what you are looking for. It's a good pedal, in particular with single coil PU as it adds a bit of fatness. Otherwise, you'd make no mistake with an OCD (I have 2 OCD and one TS-808) - more transparent.
