Radio!
When I drive it's ALWAYS radio. When I'm home it's NEVER radio. I don't know why but that's just the way it's always been.
The latest song that really gets me going when I'm driving is "Tarantula". Some past favorites are "Naveed", "I bet that you look good on the dance floor" and "Paranoid Android" just to name a few. Really there's so many but when I start to think about it, it's more of a song thing for me, rather than an album or band thing.
No matter what style of music you like, you have to admit that the greatest driving song is:
Golden Earring - "Radar Love"

A classic right enough. Dutch band of course. We've got tickets to see them soon. Hope I can get my evening shift swapped in time...!
My own top tape for the road was just that - a compilation of my fave songs from the first half dozen ZZ Top albums.
Andy.

Awesome question. Right now in my car I have:
Ryan Adams - Easy Tiger / Cold Roses
Jimi Hendrix - Axis Bold as Love
Eric Clapton - From the Cradle
U2 - Achtung Baby
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Rolling Stones - 40 Licks
Radiohead - The Bends / Hail to the Thief
Bob Dylan - Love and Theft.
Tonight i intend to switch Pink Floyd for SRV and the Stones for Tom Petty.
