When most people think of Les Pauls they are thinking of humbuckers.

True, but weren't the very first Les Pauls P90-equipped? I be believe the 1952 originals had P90s - thus, though these days we associate them mainly with humbuckers, it'd certainly be wrong to associate them only with them. Personally I love my LP with p90s, perfect blend of low end and crunchy snarl without getting too weedy in the top end!

Well, when I try a Tele or Strat after my LP with p90s they seem too trebly and don't have enough 'body' to my ear - but it's all a matter of personal taste :)

I find lately that no matter what guitar I play and what amp I play into, I just sound like me. Hmmmmm....is that good or bad?

Thanks Mark! It's still a day closer than yesterday, always a good thing! :p
Hope you're having a good week!

I'm still very happy with the PRS/AD15/TT combinations, but I think we all have cycles of musical taste which naturally puts us in favour of a particular sound which may be a different amp/guitar.
All the more reason to build a vast collection of gear up to cover all possible needs :D

Chris

I seem to be going through such cycle these days as
well, I am back to playing mostly my humbucker guitars.
Loving it...we all probably have to go through a change
once in a while as not to get bored!
