<br />roland jazz chorus - probably the best solid state clean amp IMO, good value and definately worthy of the job if you are primarily using your orange

Jc120 is one of the best... If you want cheap, look for an older Fender Stage 160 before the put the digital effects in them. 160 watts, 2x12 great clean and you might can find them cheap.

Lab Series L5
Bloody awesome amp. I had one for about 6 months. I loved it. It didnt like overdrive pedals that much but its cleans were immense. The JC120 is nice but they are both pricey to buy. If you want loud and clean, but an UL Fender Bassman 135. Clean till the cows come home, but maybe overly sterile. I preferred the L5

I also like my Vintage 16. I think this is a nifty little amp, runs plenty well on cleans. It's not meant to stay 100% clean at volume level 11, but I love the fact that it has great cleans, great crunch (nothing more, think mini twin that you can bear to crank up), and it's all for $400. Yes, these Solid State amps can beat it in price, and in clean volumes, but if you're looking for a really cool little amp that can still hang with tube amps and such (get a OD/gain boost pedal and you're in heaven, at least I am ), you can't beat it.

this is true, but it comes with all the extra effects he may not need! the cube is my 'sitting at the computer practice amp' and does an awesome job!

a TUSC amp. They're from the 80's. Hideous brown tolex, parametric eq and all these on board effects that are actually very good. It was way ahead of their day. They're quite nice and can be had very cheaply. They are clean as all get out...good luck finding one.
