Bringing Framptonback to life!!!

Hey, I've been listening to peter framptons 1st solo album recently and I'm pretty strung out on working out how that talkbox thing works. seen him on VH1 and hes playing notes on guitar and singing stuff into the tube and I'm assuming theres a wah/expression pedal thing but are the notes coming from his voicebox, his guitar, both or neither?????? Anyone know? Better still, anyone got one????

the long plastic tube has a small driver at the other end. the driver sends the guitar sound up the tube and into your mouth cavity.
Then you change shapes with your mouth to get the wa wa sounds. Your vocal mike picks up the resultant sound and sends it to the mixing console and out the P.A.
