This is a topic that has been discussed very many times, but after a great searching I didn't find a clear answer.

What speakers should I get to an avatar cabinet if I want to play pretty reverb sounding "indie" rock kind of music (arctic monkeys, the kooks?)

Many people prefer one vintage 30 and one Celestion G12H30 70th Year Anniversary Special, but then others only one of them twice. So please help me to decide what speakers to get

Thanks

I did not like the V30/G12H30. Go with 2 V30's!

I have 4 g12h30s in a 4x12 and love the low end grunt I get, but I have played through a cab with 2 v30s and 2 g12h30s and it was a great mix. To me the v30s by themself are a little to bright, but then again I am using a hiwatt and not an orange. What amp do you have and what guitar will you be using?

Any number of Vintage 30s = good.

My Mesa cab has V30s, my old Marshall Vintage had V30s, and anything that comes after the fact will have V30s.
My good friend Jon has an orange Avatar 2x12 with one V30 and one of those 70th Anniversary speakers and it sounds great. He plays stuff like Postal Service, Anberlin, Underoath, etc. and it's damn good for it.

Basically, either way you're gettin' somethin' good. But you can never go wrong with dual Vintage 30s!

Don't overlook some of the newer Eminence offerings. Dave at Avatar can put Emi's in there as well.

My music is Indie Rock and I prefer mixing an Eminence Cannabis Rex with either an Emi Wizard or Emi Governor. Sounds on my site.
