Interesting this, two 4x12 cabs on eBay.

Location Canada sold for £502.00

and this one.

Location UK sold for £270.00

Both about the same age. Both about the same condition. Both with G12M speakers (though the UK sold cab did have one unknown replacement speaker).

I'd like to know why the price difference. Is it because you guys in Canada/US love these things more than us Brits or is it all in the wording of the advert or maybe the pictures?
Both finished on a Tuesday, the UK cab at 1.57pm but the Canada cab finished at 7.35pm. Maybe finishing in an evening is better, people not at work so there is more bidding?

What do you think?

Orange in the UK is much cheaper then Orange in Canada or USA or even the Europe mainland. Altough that's what I experienced. Orange is made in the UK so ... it's not so 'special' for lot's of UK-people. Anyway not for the guy I bought my AD140B and 8x10 cabinet from. He lived like 25 km from the Orange-headquarters ... Heaven for me, just the amp-company next door for that guy ...

The gras comin' from the other side isn't always greener :) or is it ? ///

Also, there only appears to be one Orange dealer in Canada. Supply & Demand laws for that = it will be more expensive!

Why does someone want to spend that much on a Crush? I got my AD30R second hand for £360.

...I think that your implying that people think while using ebay. I’m sure its been designed by the devil so that people think what ever they are buying must be cheap. (this is great for the seller, but no so great for the buyer) The amount of things I’ve seen go on ebay, that you can buy on a high street at give or take the same price (but with a full guarantee) is stupid!
Okay I think we’ve all had bargains off of it (I for one have had a few), but some of the peoples naivety whist using it is staggering!

Just as Fenders are cheaper here in the US than the UK! I'm always astounded how dirt-cheap Marshalls are in the UK compared to the US...

Sounds good.... might be a little tricky "That's my carry-on...."

I'm still kicking myself for not buying a Vox AC15 that I saw for £100 a bunch of years ago in a little store in Croydon...

I wan in london last febuary. I wish i could have ditched to go to a guitar shop... (i was with a bunch of my sister's students. They needed one more person under 18 to hit the next braket in ticket price....)

I'd loved to go see a fender amp that accually cost a bit (no knocking fender, they're just not a "1st rate" amp in the usa). I would of also loved to get my hands on a tube vox reissue if i could have found one.

At the local guitar center they only carry the solid state vox crap...

It really comes down to supply and demand. The demand doesn't even need to be high in england to drive the price of fenders up, because the people that do want them can pay for it. Same with oranges around here. You never see them because there aren't that many people with them. But when you do see them they rival soldano in price.

Oh yea, ebay shoppers = idiots... You can get some nice deals on ebay but i've seen some real crap sell.

Ebay is the last place you will find a deal. They do pop up once in a while but only when the seller doesnt list the item properly. But if you are looking for a hard to find amp or guitar that you would never find in your area it is the perfect place. But you will be paying exactly what the item is worth and sometimes more.

Think I might have to now...

You US guys just wouldn't believe what Fender / Boogie / Ampeg etc. gear costs in the UK. But the same goes the other way for UK gear of course.
European retail prices are really expensive though...
