He just came thru a casino not too far from where I live, but I couldn't go because I am under 21. I was pretty sad (and angry) for a while. Missed BOC for the same reason. I hope I can see as many of these old acts as possible while they are still touring.

Glad you like the guy ;)

It is because of Johnny Winter (early stuff) & Eric Sardinas, that i bought an electric Resonator.
A real cheapo, but it is electric, and it does the 'thing' for me until i can find an Eric Sardinas sig reso - real bloody rare [:(!]

Had the vinyl of the Live album in college, where my roommate nearly wore it out. Recently found a CD version and bought it. Everytime we play Johnnie B. Goode, I think of how much we butcher song compared to Winter.

I saw him briefly live. It was at the old Chicago Stadium. Muddy Waters was the warm-up band for Eric Clapton. At the end of Muddy's set, Clapton and Winter joined in for a couple songs. Breath taking, except that the acoustics in the Stadium were aweful and I had bad seats up in the balcony.

DEAN from all guitar makers !

A full-metal reso !

Which is strange, because he DOES NOT use any other Dean products, not even one guitar !
