i guess it kinda goes with the smaller orange amps as well in general,
the single tone knob, is 'normal' in the centre or turned all the way to the right (ie you can add more treble turning it up over halfway)

No, no stupid questions here... just ask if you don't know!

WRT you question, usually on Orange amps they have passive tone systems, so fully clockwise treble/mids/bass tone, the dial is wide open at 100%. There is no boost, only cut.

I presume the same is true of the TT, and it will just shift the frequencies by cutting them rather than boosting them.

Not very technical answer, however, on mine if you turn the tone down it gets duller and if you turn it right up it gets brighter. I tend to leav it on halfway.

Don't think there is a normal, given what i've said.

Go with whatever is best for you...

The first 1000 are made in Korea, then production moves to China.

The last official word we've had from Ade Emsley is that they chose Korea for production because:

a) the price was right, and
b) the Korean made TTs were of exceptional build quality.

I sort of doubt they'd move production so quickly, and also why would they move production when they were so satisfied with the build quality in Korea?

I'm not saying it's impossible...just unlikely.

Mine just arrived from Melbourne 060800091 made in Korea. I couldn't understand moving production that quickly. But are they wired on a board as I imagine then a lot would be machinery done, so skill transfer isn't that high, I guess (he says not knowing anything about production)
