i made some recording..., or better iam still trying to get better results than this... both Amps where miced with Shure SM58...put to a H||H Powermixer...(Recording Out) to a good old SHARP TAPE-DECK...

woth speakers where put there in the "golden angel" 40° or parallel to the cone... (i think the left SM58 couldn't handle the bassy sound of the Seldon)...

Washburn N4 (Bridge Humbucker)---left channel: Seldon 150(Marshall 1959 Clone) with AmpegES412SS+OrangePPC212(V30-miced) right Channel: Orange OD120 with SoundCity 4x12Cab(Fane 40watt miced)..

Hi Tibor. Though it shouldn't affect the sound of those Fanes much, the 'Sound City' cab looks like a 'London City' to me. Not the same company - despite the name they were made in Holland!

no its not a londoncity...
the cab came without a frontlogo...
so i searched everywhere i was expecting a frontlogo... but nothing...

after a gig i saw this frontlogo in a club we where playing, they said the had it since the 70's... i thought it would look cool on my amp... since that day i didn't knew that there were amps with such "groovy" names...

The amp was black (painted orange) not green like the londoncitys i have seen... the speakers are definitly fane... and almost every LondonCity i have seen was loaded with Celestion G12H30s (at least the green ones)...

the original handles were lost by the former owner.. he replaced them with cheap platic ones...

i got the cab for 160?... a good price for a fane loaded cabinet...

Fair enough Tibor. Sounds are what count anyway, not the name on the front...
Was that Eur 160? A very good price indeed, I'd say! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Nice clips, Tibor! I really like what you're playing on the first clip- is there a song around that or are you working on it? It's good...

The N4 is the Nuno guitar, isn't it? He grew up in the next town over from me, and his older brothers were in a band with my brother, the drummer... Nuno's a nice guy- he used to come to a Monday night jam that John a. and I used to do but never brought a guitar- so I started bringing my lefty-flipped over righty- Stratocaster. I love that guitar- sounds great- but if you're not used to playing it, it is one of the most difficult guitars to play (gives you a new appreciation for Hendrix). To this day, whenever I see Nuno he usually asks me if I still have the lefty Strat!

I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU KNOW NUNO BCLAIRE!! you just became coolest person i know (besides nuno)

Nuno is the whole reason i started playing guitar. I got the Pornograffiti album when i was in middle school, and I instantly knew that changed my life. Then i got my buddy who already played guitar converted into a Extreme fan, and we even did a good bye ritual (we bought another copy of each of their CDs and threw it into a river) when Extreme broke up (which was not very far after i found them - it was traumatizing, i was only in 8th grade.) I couldn't play a lot of their songs back then, but now i do and Cynical (4th album) is one of my favorite songs to play to this day.
I would give anything but my Orange to see him play Midnight Express live. I got his solo stuff, but kind of lost track of him since then. Do you know what he's up to Bclaire?

Next time you see Nuno, you HAVE to tell him you met one of his biggest fans on this forum. My friend back in Korea would freak, if he finds out i met a guy who knows Nuno.

Sae Wat-

I think Nuno moved to LA- he had built a house up in Gloucester but sold it and moved to LA with his wife Susie- she used to sing in the band Baby Animals from Australia, and is a real sweetheart. She was going to front INXS, or at least there was talk that she was but that didn't happen- think she might have done a couple gigs, though.

Wanna hear a great Extreme story?

There was a band in Boston called The Dream- they were looking for a guitar player and Nuno joined. Some time after, one of the major TV networks wanted to introduce a band into one of their soap operas- into a dream sequence and call the band, The Dream. Trouble was, there was this Boston band called The Dream with rights to the name. So the network bought the rights to the name for something like $30,000 or maybe it was $50,000... forget- but a lot of money. Paid for their demo- they changed their name to X-Dream which became.... you guessed it- Extreme. Cool, huh?

Our drummer just broke a finger or something and I think I'm going to call Nuno's former drummer for his solo tour to do fill-in. This guy is a monster drummer- I actually did my very first demo with him on drums...
