I'll be in Boston this weekend for my Berklee audition and I was wondering if anyone knows some good places to go or things I need to see...or places to eat something like that could be cool.

Duck Boat Tours. I'm not sure if they run in December, but it's been so warm. Best way to see the sights and history of Boston.

While you're in Boston you can plaster your guitar case with stickers (and wear t-shirts) that say "YANKEES SUCK!".
That should get you acceptance wherever you go, maybe even into school.

I would hang out in front of the British Consulate hoping for a Lottery-Visa.

Go to Cambridge Music in Cambridge Porter Sq on Mass. Ave. Great store

and Mr. Music Harvard Ave in Allston is great too....

Across from Berklee to the left on Mass Ave is Daddy's Junky Music- not great but entertaining...

and you HAVE to go half a block down Boylston St (turn right out the front door of Berklee and left on Boylston) and go to Little Stevie's House of Pizza- get a slice. They're as big as your head for about $1.37/ slice. Awesome pizza....

Daddy's is fun. They don't have the Gear that GC does , but fun none-the less.

1.37 Slice of Pizza? How can you say no.

You may want to head up to the old Italian neighborhood known as The North End, up where the "Freedom Walk" is. Stumble into just about any restaurant and you'll find great food. Of course some are better than others...but I've always just ducked into somewhere that looked decent with reasonable prices (never the same place twice) and I've never been disappointed. The one place I do go back to whenever I'm in Boston is a little old-fashioned bakery and pastry shop right near the foot of Hanover st. Think it's called "Modern Pastry" haha! Straight outta 1954! I always get some marzapan nuggets there. Oh man!! There's a buncha killer pastry shops in the North End.

Welcome to Boston. Here's the listing page from the Boston Phoenix website. btw +1 on the North end for food and you can spend a day across the street at Faniuel Hall (food, shoping, entertainment, pubs etc...)

Freedom Trail actually.... http://www.thefreedomtrail.org/

The pastry shop in the North End on Hanover is awesome... Mike's Pastry- but you HAVE to get a cannolli from there- to die for.

While you're around there, you ought to go check out the USS Constitution- cool boat... although we may have some snow this weekend they say...
