I've liked Orange since I was a schoolkid Macahan! I bought my 120 OD second hand, when it was less then 2 years old, in 1980. I still remember carting it up the road to the school music room that lunch time. My arms have been XXLong ever since! (Also had a disc hernia op. about 3 months back, but we'll not go into that...)
Only moved to Holland in Jan '03 though. Yep, it gets pretty orange here at times...
Holland is technically a province of the Netherlands, but everybody just calls the whole country Holland, including the Dutch. Who are all completely mad, but in the best possible way. I like it here a lot.
It's too flat though - much too flat!

Yep... Polder! Not a Dutch Waltz, and not me swearing either! A lot of land here was 'reclaimed' from the sea, and given that name. Which has got nothing to do with anything ampwise really, but who cares.

While we're wandering about, ever so slightly off topic...
Comment 1: A really big thanks to B. Claire for those catalogues and manuals! Great to see that stuff. Also the Zappa / Lennon connection. Well cool!

Comment 2: I see I have been honoured with a 'Gold Star'. Wow! Also cool. (Okay, it's probably a bronze one, but please don't spoil the illusion!)

Comment 3: If you would all be so kind as to not mention the score of the last Scotland - Holland match here in Amstermad(*), I'll not have to report any of you to Amnesty International for 'cruel and unusual psychological torture'.
(Well, okay, the aggregate score was 6 - 1 for the Flatlanders, and Scotland actually WON the first leg! But thankyou anyway for not mentioning it, people - so much!!!)

I don't even LIKE football much, but my wife who is Dutch does, and I don't get much chance to ignore it here...

(*)Yep, my spelling!

How do we like this amp now? [:0]

When I read goods and bads on a forum about something, it simply peaks my interest. I found the Rocker 30 in a showroom of a music store. I never knew it existed until then. I fell in love with it. But I had some other amps that I wanted to get first (Marshall 2061X & 1974X). Now that I have them, I was on the search for a Rocker 30. I cannot afford it right now, but I bought one any way. I like this amp in several ways. But I am still exploring. I have only had it in my possession (working) since last night.

This is an interesting discussion that started in 2004. From judging the signatures of several members, there have been a lot of folks that liked the amp enough to buy one. The single Clean Volume knob is a little dissorienting though. I will simply setup my GT-10 board to compensate.

I actually find the idea of the single knob on the natural channel to be refreshing.I mean, how many varieties of clean does one need...and for those that would say 'A lot',there are always eq pedals,or other amps! ;)

People are complaining about the clean channel blah blah. If you don't like the way it sounds, get a Dr. Scientist "The Cleaness"

An excellent point. Nowadays, there are more options than ever for getting a pedal to help modify the tone of one's clean channel while keeping it clean! Great suggestion too, BTW. Dr. Scientist's stuff is awesome!
