'newer' sounding tones, distortion pedals

Honestly, Underoath doesn't use pedals nor Orange. (In concert the lead guitarist does, an AD140, but not in their latest studio offering). On Define the Great Line, they used some delay and mods but the tone was from a bunch of amps. Get a Soldano 100 with a Peavy 5150 and throw in some Mesa's, Matchless and a lot of eq and you'll get their tone.
Otherwise, stick with the Orange and put a good pedal infront of itâ€â€here's were I lose credability because I'm not using any at the momentâ€â€but IMO, a dod with an Orange wouldn't go very good . . . put that infront of a crate or something.
