I have two OR80's- an original one from 1978 and a 90's one. I also bought the AD140TC- it blows the other two out of the water! Much much better sounding IMHO and the channel switching means I don't have to rely on stomp boxes for solos, etc. Plus it's just so much more versatile. Just a truly amazing sounding and recording amp. Love it!!! Billy

.... keep in mind that the OR80 is worth much less than the AD140TC... I'd say for a reissue at least $600. If you trade, don't get taken. Billy

I would be crazy to trade. This is the amp I always wanted. Channel 1 sounds like an or8o and channel 2 is somewhere between a orange and a marshall. what tubes are in your amp? Mine did'nt sound half as good with the rubys in it. I'm switching out the pre-amp tubes on monday with sovtek's.

Dose your amp say or140-61- something for the serial number? mike
