If you had unlimited $£$ to buy the orange of your choice, what orange would you buy?
i mean, which model and which cab?? or which combo
and what year/era???

I'd go for the orange-matamp 200Watts Jimmy page-amp with slave-amp and the 6x12 + the 8x10 from the early seventies

my ad200 sounds amazing..

I don't have unlimitied $$$ but I saved my pennies and bought an AD140TC to go with the two 70's 4X12's I already had. That did it for me- if I could only have one amp, this is what it would be.

Probably the AD50 custom shop with PPC 4 x 12 and the Orange footswitch.

Noramly, in 10 week, i have this setup in my home ;-) ( when i have sold my 1970 London City )

My next amp is going to be a custom Matamp. It doesn't look like it will be too expensive either. I already have my dream Orange amp (Ad30tc head) :) Of course, if I had loads of cash I would buy two ad1512's and switch between them instead, one for cleanish stuff and and one for overdrive...

What about an AD30H run through a 4x12 cab filled with Celestion Alnicos? On my current Orange, an AD15/12, I removed the Vintage 30 and replaced it with the Alnico Blue. The Vintage 30 sounded great, but I have to say that I like the vibe and sound of the Blue better. I can only imagine what my Tele would sound like coming through four of those expensive beauties.

Why just one? I would get an early 1970's plexi pix only OR120 and have it power two 1970's Orange 4x12 cabinets. Then I would also have an Orange Matamp OR80 Prototype like the one on the Orange Amps Field guide pictured below and have it power one of those hard to find orange 6x12 cabs. That would make me happy. <img src="http://users.pandora.be/geertjacobs/OFG ... _front.jpg" border=0>

Sorry macahan, but I have my dream ... A AD200B Custom shop and a 8x10 orange bass cabinet ...

But if you want a list with what I still want ? Damn ... You have some time ? :) haha. But hey, the Retro50 would be cool, or a really early BIG PICTS OR ... or a 2x12 orange combo ... or a gibson les paul custom shop, ... Or a musicman stingray ... or a fender precision of '66 ... Of a ampeg 8x10 cabinet in silver (aniversary), or a Matchless combo, or ...

name it :) haha

I HAD A GIRLFRIEND WHO HAD UNLIMITED FUNDS, AND I CHOSE A 1978 OVERDRIVE SERIES TWO HALF-STACK. IT WAS BRAND NEW AND NOBODY HAD EVER HEARD OF ORANGE AMPS. THEY THOUGHT I WAS NUTS FOR GETTING THE ORANGE AND NOT A MARSHALL. WITH THE RIGHT TUBES (definitely not groove tubes) MY ORANGE GETS THE BEST UNGODLY LIKE LIVE SOUND STRAIGHT INTO THE AMP, AND IVE HEARD THEM ALL. MY AMP IS ALSO THE MOST POWERFUL/LOUDEST AMP EVER MADE. THE LOCAL TECH CALLS IT A FIRE-BREATHING DRAGON.BUT ITS GOTTA HAVE THE OLD STYLE RCA/SYLVANIA MAYBE SOVTECS, GETTING READY TO TRY THEM OUT IN MY HEAD .THIS ORANGE OVERDRIVE SERIES TWO HEAD (1978)SEEMS TO BE DIFFERENT (WIRING FOR EXAMPLE) IT HAS NO EFFECTS LOOP JACKS, ONLY A SINGLE SLAVE JACK/input .IT HAS PLUG TYPE VOLTAGE AND SPEAKER IMPEDANCE CONTROLS AND A DETATCHABLE POWER CORD, THIS ORIGINAL CORD IS THE SIZE OF A DAMN WATERHOSE (HEAVY-DUTY) ROGER JR

I would get the RV50 Combo, which I already own. Any other amps are just for different sounds, maybe I'd pick up and marshal 1974....

I have only played one Orange amp, my Rv50 combo, and that was only AFTER I bought it off of eBay. Stupid, I know.
That being said though, I don't think I will ever find an amp that makes me happier. It somehow gets me playing through that sweet spot every time I turn it on and give it my full attention.

No brainer, I would get the Rv50 head and an angled 4x12 fo' shizzle.

With unlimited $ I'd buy a bigger house and get an inbuild sutdio in which I could have all orange gear.

More realistically, I already have my dream amp, the RV50 & PPC212. Perhaps I'd upgrade to PPC412 if I had the room to store it.

I can get away with the PPC212 & the head in my lounge, but perhaps couldn't with the PPC412!!!!!!! :D

Or perhaps I'd go matamp - the MK 1224 has me very intrigued.....!!!!
