Nothing but tone comes with the amps. That's all I got.

i did and i'm still a little bitter about paying $1800.00 for a amp without any of this stuff or a footswitch either.

Funny really, you pay £100 odd quid for a Marshall amp, and get a footswitch with an LED (how to get excited over an LED!)
You pay well over a grand for an orange and you get f*** all!

I didnt get anything but I knew thats how they come. It is strange to pay that much and open a box with just an amp. No problem for me though.

Nope, I didn't even get a box when I bought mine! (The shop had lost it). I must say I think it's poor though. I'm going to have to order a footswitch from the USA for crying out loud! And a manual cetainly would have come in handy, but let's hear it for the Orange Amps Forum! It's helped me on more than one occasion..

the reason for the footswitch-syndrome is pretty simple..

orange is a single channel amp, the twinchannel is an adaptation for the market..
orange (i would assume) prefer the original design..

so why bother about the footswitch

my ad200 sounds amazing..

Not that im to bothered about the footswitch, my Marshall does the job fine but;

macahan, that reasons sh1t! i would say the TC out sells the single any day. so why would they "not bother" about the footswitch. Basically there just being cheap!

How much would it cost to make a little orange box with a footswitch, about £2 max!

I have the box! No manual though... but that's part of what's quirky about Orange.

These things are great- plug in and get tone. I mean really, do you need a manual to adjust these amps? I do wish a foorswitch had come with them- and I had thought that Orange was going to provide fottswitches for free when they came out but no...

Otherwise, that's all part of the Orange experience...

thanx for the hard words..

anyway look at the facts..
howcome the twinchannel came out just a few years ago
and also matamp recently made their first twinchannel...
Howcome they didn't make twinchannels from the start..????
so don't talk to me about reasons why..

wish to sell more amps??? then spread to a wider range of musicians who normally wouldn't buy orange.. hook some old orange dude's on the "new" amps and go for it.. and collect all cash in between..

personally i would NEVER ever buy a twin channel no matter what you other guys say, that's your opinion and i RESPECT that.. but for me orange is no twinchannel-amp...

nor is a fender bassman an twinchannel.. since the channels are intended for separate instruments..

AS for manuals.. i think that's not even necessary for a simple one-channel amp with five knobs.. If you buy an orange you have MORE than likely owned a couple of amps before and know how, master, gain, miid, treble, bass etc. works..

as for a twinchannel you might expect some info if you have never used THAT before..

BUT it's a shame that no info or WARRANTY is delivered.. that's really bad.. even a £30 toaster comes with warranty

no paperwork does not bother me, no i don't need a manual. however, i wanted to find out if they do come with any, and if they did, then i wanted it, since they don't, no worries. and orange amps do come with a warranty - your shop should honor it - if not - register online (at this site no less). to my knowledge its an immediate 30 days on the tubes and at least a year on all electronics.
as far as footswitching comes - marshalls don't come with a footswitch from the box either, if you get one with the amp the dealer is throwing it in. i've had to get a dealer to throw one in on any marshall i've purchased. and i've had a couple straight from the box, and trust me, there is no footswitch packed in there.
for that matter, i've never received an owners manual with any marshall head - but i have received a warranty card and a lil flyer. however when i sold my most recent marshall the buyer asked for a manual for it, wasn't even aware of one.
but like i said originally - the pics on this website to use for your background (ad30 stack in front with girl on bed in b/w) picture a stack of paperwork on top of the amp is why i ask.
and for the record - i recognized a noticeable loss in tone with any twin channel amp. the single channel sounded much fuller, punchier, and crisper. which is why i purchased the ad30h rather than the tc, despite a predetermined desire for the tc. it will be a sacrifice in versatility - but the tone was more than worth it! sorry so lenghty!

Not sure what's on the head. Doesn't look like a manual.

I bought my ad 15/12 several years back, and no paperwork whatsoever came with it, which I thought odd at the time. Seemed unprofessional to me. Is this a Euro thing? Fender likes to attach tags all over their stuff. Course, the Orange has played great for the entire time I've owned it, so who cares in the end, eh what?

Guys ...

Quit wining ... You need a manual to tell you what ? To tell you wich control is Treble, wich is Bass, wich is Middle ? Or to tell you the difference between Gain and Volume ?

Maybe you need a manual with a Line6, but tell me something that they have to put in a orange-manual ? It's just TONE, like said before. And if you can't use those controls, you're maybe just not 'meant' to use them ? Altough, maybe a footswitch for the twin's would come in handy ...

And littlefred .. The store lost your box ? dollywaggle them. I heard stories about stores swapping cases from USA Fenders with Gigbags and then telling the customer "sorry, there is no case with this guitar", and then sell the case on ebay seperatly for high prices. How can they loose your box ? Tsss ...
