If you get one, see if you can get them to put those catches on the other bit of the case. If you play your amp whilst resting on the bottom section like that, they'll rattle.

actually on this case those things are spring loaded so they are forced out! its pretty sweet, i haven't had any trouble with rattling, but that is a good point!

Yeah, guess lots are sprung nowadays. Only really a problem if it's going to be loud then...

exactly. for recording i'll be taking it off of there so i dont even have to worry about it. works nicely for live shows though to just leave it on and mic it up!

That's great! I'll probably go with the Angstrom one on e-bay, are the casters ok without the locks?

yep, the casters are great. i expected lower quality but they are really nice. shouldn't roll around on you either. actually, i think you might be able to request locks for them if you call them before you complete your order. lemme know how it goes!

£65 off ebay (am i allowed to say that?) without badges. i rang up the nice people at orange and for another £15 i had badges. which makes it a '70s 2x12 w/GreenBacks for £90. Bargain, i'd say.

I thought it was about time I join this topic. So I figured out how to put pictures on the web so I could post them here. This is what fedex should be picking up for me wednesday. I just had to buy it. The cool thing about this stack is it used to be owned by our Moderator bclaire's friend Johnny A. This is one of the amps that sat unsold for 10 years that billy and johnny found in a warehouse. I cant wait for it to arrive<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>. Can you say "minty" with original covers in rare black! I'll take some pictures of my other Orange amps once it arrives.

Hey guys -- this might be a dumb question, but are those guitar cabs? PA cabs? If so -- do they have tweeters loaded in the top?

Yes they were originally for a PA and they do have two tweeters in the top. The one's I'm getting have the tweeters disconected and aparently the guy says they sound great for guitar. I'll soon find out. I also found this 1973 catalog page from bclare's post in a previous topic.

yeah - they were for p.a - they're the same as mine, but they sound overly nice. I don't see why they couldn't be guitar cabs, they're just greenbacks and a couple of HF horns.
