SUPER CRUSH 100!!!

Post by Boy_Narf » Wed Sep 15, 2021 7:09 pm

Well guess I'll start the thread on this new thing.

I'm not really the market for these units but I can appreciate the cab sim DI as well as the single speaker combo weighing in under 50lbs with a proper speaker this time.

Cool stuff!

Hopefully that means we have some new tube offerings on the way :)

I know they are working on some pedal reissues of the original Sustain, etc. pedals...

I think it's a cool amp. Been following some of the reviews, not sure I agree with everyone saying it's a tube amp killer. I believe it sounds great and great for clean, crunch and high gain like a Rockerverb. I have some amazing jfet based pedals like the Diezel VH4 that sound un-mistakable for the big amp. It's the in-between harmonics I'd need to hear before making the tube killer claim. Someone spotted an amp behind Ade while he was talking about the new Super Crush that blurringly (is that a word) appeared to look like it said OR30R or something on the panel....hmmm.

It sure does say OR30R. Interesting...

Myself, personally, I need a twin channel amp like the AD30TC's to gig. I don't really use pedals other than a G-System....

If it is an OR30 I’m very curious what circuit they used. The OR15 or OR50..or maybe something new!

My initial suspicion is an OR15 with a 30 watt power section and digital reverb...

My hopes are for a scaled down OR50 with tube reverb :)

My initial thought (or hope) was OR50, using the Rocker 30 power section! It’d almost be a Rocker 30, re-issue since the preamps are somewhat similar, maybe better!
