How rare is my Rocker 30? How many white ones were made?
I found (and bought) a Rocker 30 head in white tolex back in May. This was a Limited Edition back in 2009. Does anyone have any idea how many of these were produced? Being that the Rocker 30 was discontinued AND mine having white tolex I am trying to figure out how rare and/or desireable it is? How many of you would buy a white one over an Orange one if given the opportunity. Also, would you pay more for a white one?

I don't know how many were made, but I can't call them rare. I've seen a few locally in the past few years. I wouldn't pay more for one. It's just tolex in my opinion. I like the Oranges' faceplate against black tolex myself. I don't believe anything is different about the amp circuit. Cool item though, and an awesome amp! Congrats!

I'd buy one in white but I wouldn't pay any more for it.

Prefer black myself, but that's personal taste. (Or maybe lack of...)
Either way I wouldn't pay any extra.
Great amp though, BIG +1 to that!

You probably won't get anyone to pay extra for the white tolex at this point in time, but it may be the feature that puts yours over the top if someone is looking at buying yours or an orange one. Tolex color does affect value on some vintage M*rshalls, so it could appreciate more down the road. It's anybody's guess really.

It'll be worth whatever someone's willing to pay

I like my Orange's the same way I like my coffee, black.
Re: How rare is my Rocker 30? How many white ones were made
If anything i'd say it might be worth less than a normal Rocker 30.The orange tolex has always been an iconic selling point of the brand, part of the visual mystique that makes them look so completely different.
To the right buyer it could be worth more, but more people are going to want the orange, espically as the years go on and the R30 gets harder and more expensive to find.

Re: How rare is my Rocker 30? How many white ones were made
That's probably fair. I think it'd be harder to find a buyer for a white Orange if you wanted to sell it. Just needs one though. There have been a few black ones made almost as long as Orange have made amps, but the white tolex might well put off more folk than it attracts IMO.
Again, doesn't matter. Personal taste, but would probably not be a major 'must have' tick for most collectors or players.
Andy.

Re: How rare is my Rocker 30? How many white ones were made
It's a matter of taste (or lack of, as someone said...). When I was going for a Rockerverb, I would have been willing to pay extra for a black one rather than the original orange. When I did buy my Rocker, I felt I wanted the original color. A white one? Not my cup of tea for what it's worth...

I don't hate it either. i'd buy it in a minute. I just wouldn't pay extra because it's white. It would probably help if it was with a matching white cab. That would look pretty sick.
