current heavy spins:
whiskeytown - stranger's almanac demos and b-sides.
qotsa - rated r.
spiritualized - ladies and gentlemen, we are floating in space.
miles davis - in a silent way.
deerhunter - halcyon digest/primitive 3d single.
forgetters s/t 2x7".
Saw Forgetters a few weeks ago. It was really good. I'm a huge Blake fan. Jawbreaker is probably my all time favorite band.
i'm quite stoked on them, wish they'd do some west coast dates.

on the subject of BXI, i've never been a fan of the cult, and honestly i'm a bit disappointed. but, hey 180g pressings are always nice.

Right now I'm loving Titus Andronicus - The Monitor
It's just so raw, unrefined, angry.. I love it.

Arcade Fire's latest is also really awesome.

+ infinity....

I've just had a look through most of the bands people listen to here, called them up on youtube and whatever.....I can barely find anything that doesn't make me want to scream and smash my PC up. Boy, is my finger NOT on the pulse of today's youth. A couple were good though....Isis for example.

Edit: recently I have been mostly liking the 70s-esque dulcet strains of The Sword. Even though I am jealous of their lovely hair. Fat Orange sound content as a bonus!

I swear to god if I hear one more band with too many delay pedals, no vocals, playing the same riffs over and over and over again for 15 minutes...
