Re: The Orange Sound

I really don’t use the Natural channel that much I feel like I've seen this written from everyone who owns one.... I’m really interested in knowing more about how the amp came to be, it is pretty interesting. It’s like it started as an OR50 and was modified. I do like having the Natural channel and...

Re: Fuzz roundup

The GAS won! I couldn't resist and it was a steal on Reverb https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51111255632_ed4cde7c85_w.jpg This thing is    At low gain with the bias turned down its in the Led Zep territory completely like dazed and confused or communication breakdown but win...

Re: The Orange Sound

I have a 1978 OR80M, a 2000's OR80M reissue, and several modern Oranges. (AD30TC, AD140TC, OR15, Tiny Terror, Micro Terror, etc.) The vintage Oranges have a distinctive sound - I've heard people say "like a Marshall on steroids" but it's more than that - it's definitely a unique sound that has a lo...

Re: The Orange Sound

I’ve never had the pleasure to play an actual vintage Orange. Just several amp sims (which sound really good), heard plenty of demos, plus knowing how they sound with certain bands I’ve listened to. It’s definitely it’s own sound which is the known Orange sound, but the modern amps have their own so...

Re: Rocker 30 Combo Crackle after palm mute.

I'm not sure why I didn't think of this before but I had an idea yesterday to play along to some of our live gigs (we film them all). It was actually a blast. Playing the "live" arrangements of the songs up to tempo and hearing the crowd make some noise was nice vs playing along to CD or solo. I di...

I'm still using my Vox Time Machine.

Great sound, tap tempo with super long repeats, and sounds very good.

I love it set to do a very clean repeat or 2 when clean picking.... really comes into it's own.
That is a great pedal, I bought one when they first came out. I regret selling it.

Re: Sad.....Day's of Yore

I do have to say - the two main facebook groups I go to for Orange are Orange owners group and the vintage group. Which is something I wished we could have done here - separate out the vintage people from the Crush kids. I wanted to have a separate section of the forum called Crush Corner... I've a...

Re: Delay Roundup

Really like my Boss DD-7. Sounds great and has all the features I want. If I feel the need for a 2nd delay, my Boss RV-6 has a decent delay setting.

Re: Your first guitar...

I've held onto mine! Got it 27 years ago!!! My parents got it for me with a Peavy Rage 158. Love the "Axe-Sac" haha. I remember the other guy in my class had the "Axe-Bra", basically the same but it just had straps and didn't cover the horns. Crazy to see wear on a guitar that was actually played f...

Re: Your first guitar...

My first was a Tradition acoustic and it was actually pretty nice, that lasted a year before trading it in for a red Barracuda Strat copy with a humbucker in the bridge. It’s long gone, busted up at a house party back in the 90’s. Really cheap guitar, but I thought it was awesome until I bought my f...
