I've got the malekko 616, and I like it, but the delay gets lost as your guitar gets dirtier. Seems to get absorbed with the compression. amazing sounding pedal, though. I ended up getting a digital delay for my distorted parts and use the 616 for clean/slightly dirty stuff.

If the volume drop was present on both channels, the power tubes would be the suspect I'd look towards.
