Re: TV50: is "attenuator" helpful for constant speaking volumes?
The attenuator is a very useful feature on the thunderverb and it still surprises me just how good it can be. It works best when still working with reasonably high volumes IMO, let's say the difference between annoying the FOH guy and not pushing the valves hard enough for your liking. Personally, t...

Re: ppc412 hp celestion gk100?
Well the G12K's have more low end to them and the mids are not as pronounced and are a bit smoother. Depends what sort of stuff you play..... V30's break up quicker, especially the highs. For the just breaking up sound, all the way to classic rock/crunch - the V30's are better IMO. If you like real ...

Re: ppc412 hp celestion gk100?
The HP cab will work fine with your RV using the 8ohm out. Personally I would go for the regular ppc412 unless you really don't like V30's. You won't be able to run 2 cabs in the future if you wanted to do so as another 8ohm cab would give a total load of 4ohms. The HP cab was intended to be matched...

Re: how i can change the tubes?? ORANGE THUNDERVERB
Changing cab won't make your TV brighter, you have V30's which are already mid heavy. I'd prefer a 2x12 or 4x12 over 2 1x12's though but that's my preference. ....and you say you want more gain as well as the amp to be brighter? Think you may be pissing into the wind dude. Could try a tubescreamer.

Re: how i can change the tubes?? ORANGE THUNDERVERB
Buy a Marshall if you want the '800 or JMP sound. Oranges are supposed to be dark and are voiced differently to marshalls. Low-mids vs upper-mids.

Re: Cab for TV50?
A closed back has a tighter bass response and bigger thump whereas the open back sounds more airy and not so directional, they fill the room better. IMO putting a closed back 2x12 on the bottom and an open back on top would be pretty awesome. You'd have the tight bass on the deck will the skids coup...

Re: TH-100 vs Thunderverb
If your co-guitarist(assuming you have one) uses a 100watt amp you'll be plenty loud with the 50 but if your looking for massive low-end thump and to stay really tight in way low tunings then I'd say the 200.... Not to say the 50 doesn't handle drop tunings well because it does. If you played anythi...

Re: how/where to get a head shell/sleeve?
My only suggestion other than orange would be to maybe try matamp, although living over there could prove pricey.
