I had one in my LP, used to love it when I played heavier high output stuff but its just unusable for me now, Its really only designed for lead work in my opinion, got a bit to messy with the AD140

U have to remember before the strokes the modern guitar band has nearly gone to shits. But they lit a fire under pop rock with there own brand of rock and ever since they have only inspired others. Listen to there albums and the come back with an opinion, u will find some real original yet pop struc...

got a sheraton and i think its pretty damn classy,
sure its a bit on the cheap side but if you throw in some money for new pickups and a professional setup it CAN sound great.

if not herd great things about them heritage and tokia guitars.

you hit the nail on the head, hence me saying that its a tight amp... which it is, its hard to hide your flaws on this amp, but it makes you better player because of it.

its plenty loud with plenty of head room.
two channels, ones a wee bit brighter than the other, but they are practically the same...
great crunch... can get heavy... tighter than the AD30... great bass response.
stopped producing so it could be a possible good investment...

man i want one... but i dono.. im kinda sick of spending money on guitar stuff....

actually buying the AD140 cleaned up my playing pile of poop loads.
its such a tight amp its hard to hide your mistakes, clean or not.
but it def improves your playing learning everything clean.
