Actually....what about a TC-2290 :) I would _love_ one of those things..best delay I've ever heard, but pricey. You're planning on running the delay in the loop right? That TRex one gets rave reviews too and supposedly will work in the loop. The intellifex is a bargain IMO, and has the easiest progr...

Guitar -> Boss tuner pedal -> crybaby 95Q -> Rockerverb50 -> Bogner 4x12 w/V30's. Rocktron Intellifex in the loop used for chorus on clean, and lead boost/delay. Thinking about ditching the crybaby but need to find one that sounds right...don't like the fulltone Clyde one (just got one, here comes e...

Ponder.... :-) What I'm trying to do is not *suck tone* when I don't need the volume boost/delay for leads. Amps always sound a little better when the loop is not on. The loop is _excellent_ on the rocker BTW, much better than my SLO was, but still every little bit helps :) Also trying to cut down o...

Is it possible to make the FX loop footswitchable on these? I don't use the footswitch for the Reverb, but controlling the FX loop via footswitch would be exteremely handy in my case (with an FX unit in the loop set to volume boost & delay for leads). Any way to disable the reverb and use its footsw...

<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote> 50w amps tend to break up a little earlier in the power section, but they don't have tightness of a 100w amp. 50w amps tend to sound better than 100's in mid-gain and low-gain amps, but n...

<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote> No reason why the 100 should have sounded so flat... maybe it was the tubes! Firebird!!! don't do it!! get another RV50. I just got (gulp) a _2nd_ RV50 head today for back-up. I A/B'd everything in the store, and the only amp that stood next to the RV50 was the soldano with KT88 (I think) and depth knob. The 50 (once again) toasted the Rocker-100...in terms of "aliveness" an...

Hmmm. The distortion is pretty unique. The "custom" would be harder sounding, the "custom custom" is definitely "rounder" and more buttery (maybe too buttery). It's hard though, you almost just have to experiment and drop a few different pickups in there and see what happens. Also, backing the disto...

I heard it's bad for the tranny's to yank 2 tubes from the rocker 100. (this was from a guy at rocker guitars in SF). I was considering getting a 100 (to compliment my 50) and was curious about yanking 2 tubes to "lessen" the bass....he said "definitely don't do that" and went into some story about ...
