i believe the tag will be somewhere on the bottom, where all the wires and junk are. most amps don't have the tag, but some people get lucky. i believe they made overdrives until '79 when the Series II orange amps started coming out. i loved the guitar sound on Shiner's Lula Divinia. That riff towards the end of the first song is great and the guitar tone makes it greater.

serial numbers won't tell you a thing, they are all over the place. look for an inspection tag inside the amp somewhere, it may have a date on it.

overdrive oranges didn't come out until around '77, so its not a 1974. DONT turn it on if you dont have it plugged into a cabinet, you will blow up the transformer. i would take it to an amp tech that has experience with orange amps and pay the money to get him to check it out. get new tubes if he r...

i would trade it for the head. slave amps are probably pretty rare and it would be a shame to destroy one.

i have a 2002 ppc412 cab and it also says 120 watts. it has 4 V30s in it. guy at the store said they just labeled a lot of them wrong. i think all the ones that came over on that big barge 2 years ago were labeled wrong. it is actually 240 watts. trust me. taking that back panel off is a pain! those...
