Re: EQ PEDAL IN FX LOOP ?

I guess i was simply saying that if your new power supply does not have isolated outputs then whatever is currently going on with hum is not likely to necessarily improve..it may of course, by sheer luck, but the only way to ensure that pedals do not interact, and you do not couple the loop back to ...

Re: Exciting..... and frustrating!!!!

have had a couple of Tribute G&L.. an SB-2 bass and an Asat Classic... both were really great.. certainly no issues with the setup but the pickguard in both cases were a little off, and clearly hand made, but i have yet to be bothered to make new ones.. the Asat Classic with the MFD is just great..j...

Re: EQ PEDAL IN FX LOOP ?

fwiw.. Unless you have isolated outputs, it is not reasonable to expect hum to disappear by changing the power supply

Re: OR15 vs Rocker 30 vs Princeton Reverb

totally off the wall.. if this is home use and recording, and you like the Microdark.. (same tonally as TH30 iirc) then why not a micro dark and a Two Notes Torpedo cab?.. pro's: tube orange flavor preamp from uDark small size for practice as is or Torpedo CAB in fx loop offers power amp emulation a...

Re: Buying used?

GC is an EXCELLENT source of used gear..

order online and delivered to your home, and return to the local store if not satisfied.. it really doesnt get any better than that.

Are you planning on modding the fx loop again?.. i had read and re-read your fx loop mod thread with a huge amount of interest and keep eyeing my Rocker with intent to commit surgery, but so far not pulled the trigger...

Re: Cheap intelligent harmonizer. Thought?

TC nova system may be a candidate, plus it gives a lot more..and they are going cheap. it has a standard pitch shifter block with two voices, but this can be an "intelligent" pitch shifter. For the intelligent pitch shifter, you select a scale and it can provide 2 voices each within -13st to +13st r...

Re: CR60C or CR120C?

i would be really surprised if these were discontinued soon.. they were well received, well reviewed by the critics and very well received in forums and the real world.. me?.. i would go for the CR120C.. For the power, since its like the CR60C but it goes to 11 don't it?., so its better....(spinal t...

Re: different guitars means diff. amp settings

the biggest thing for me is the relative output of my pickups.. and seeing the way it interacts with the gain control (which really is an input level control).. in my case if i am planning on switching guitars between strat and lp, i use a clean boost solely with a strat to up the output to parity w...

Re: Thinking of pulling the trigger on an R30 combo

I find the R30 clean channel to be a very misunderstood beast.. it really is nothing more that a single gain stage of flat response and gain of 100, vs a tonal response of (insert flavor) and a gain of at least 10,000 in pretty much every other clean channel out there.. What this means is 1. The pow...

Re: Anyone manage to get more "saggy" tone out of their modern Orange amps?

any compressor with a control of the attack should mimic some of the sag effect.. The attack essentially allows control of the rise time of the transients.. Bump on AD30 suggestions. The saggy king in the Orangefamily! :D Another option might be to try a compressor in front of your OR100? I don't se...
