Re: Tell me about the Crush series.

Btw, I haven't had any experience with the new 'PiX' series of Crush amps that replaced it. I read it has digital effects, which is something I would try to avoid personally. The Crush30R has a decent spring-reverb and nice sounding overdrive, all the basics you really need from an amp in my opinion...

Re: Tell me about the Crush series.

I have the Crush30R, it's great for bedroom levels and nicely portable. I like it above other tranny practise amps and the reverb sounds pretty nice actually. It can go pretty loud mind you, loud enough to survive small jamsessions with a drummer though at that volume it doesn't sound as nice as tub...

Re: OR120 not loud at all!?

Sorry for all the n00b questions, but please understand that I am a n00b when it comes to tube amps. Another thing I noticed while I was playing it just a while ago is that when I turn the gain all the way down, and my master between midnight and 3 o'clock it's makes weird noises like there are gho...

Re: Using a amp ordered from the UK in the Netherlands.

Than I'd like to apologise head-on for bringing up the subject of pricing, I'm aware of the 'risk's but as a student this really is the only option for me. The focus of this topic is about knowing whether there's any differences in voltages etc, so I'd like to continue on that subject instead. There...

Re: Changing pots on my tele

40W is plenty! Lot's of people even use a 15W, you just need to pay more attention to what you're doing. I use a 60W soldering iron, which is basically waaay to much so I tend to solder very fast. I can't say I've ever really paid attention to the type of solder I use, but from what I've read...

Using a amp ordered from the UK in the Netherlands.

Hey fellow Orange enthusiasts! I'm close to finally buying my first decent tube-amp, always had a tranny practise amp (Crush30R) before this which I still really dig. So I'm planning on getting a Dual Terror (I really like the TT, but having that extra headroom and two channels is something I'm real...

Re: Lap Steel...

If you've got some spare parts lying around, try building your own  However, I like the look of this Eastwood Airline Lapsteel: http://www.eastwoodguitars.com/Other/lapSteel/airlineLapSteel_frm.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://www.eastwoodguitars.com/Other/lapSteel/imag...
