Re: any rocker 30's/rockerverb 50 heads for sale

yep, no selling and trading. BUT, the Rocker 30 is fair game to talk prices, and there's a used one for sale at Guitar Center (in the US...not sure if they'd ship it to you or how expensive it would be). http://www.guitarcenter.com/In-Store-Used-USED-ORANGE-ROCKER-30-AMP--UK-MADE--108831276-i3063210...

Re: Neighbors..

micro terror, or you could try one of those sansamp pedals. i hook up a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter to mine and run headphones late at night. it also doubles as a backup amp to run to a PA at gigs.

Re: Had to share

i tried it the day it came out. loved it immediately. tried every overdrive they had on it and discovered that one of the pedals i was looking at (Walrus Voyager) really wasn't for me, and i desperately want to try a Mad Professor LGW.

Re: Tiny Terror vs OR15 Question for Blues-Rock

i'd say tiny terror. but either amp could achieve those tones, it's just the feel of them are totally different. only you can decide.

not a bad idea. they'll probably sell a lot of these if the price is right.

Re: How do you have your amp setup?

"blues tone" is about as subjective as "rock tone". a good starting point would be to roll off on the bass and treble and accentuate midrange. also use a lot less gain than you think you need. then...well, play something bluesy. if it's in the fingers, it'll be there. another common solution is to h...

and some of us like to hit our dark haired chubby chicks with a midhump. but oranges are designed to get dirty.

anyways, i've been playing my orange in my kitchen in Liverpool and it's like taking a blanket off my sound.

get the tiny, unless you're waiting for something bigger. in which case, get neither. get a rocker 30 or dual terror.

Re: Possible to use a Tele for Gilmour/Hendrix stuff?

Hendrix recorded The Wind Cries Mary on Noel's Telecaster. ha! didn't know that one. i was just about to chime in and say that Wind Cries Mary sounds more authentic on my tele than my strat, but i guess that's a moot point now. like said above, some stuff, only a strat can do. from what i can...

Re: OR15 Tone

there's a few things in play here. for one, you're comparing an orange to a marshall (a later marshall at that). from that alone you should expect a darker, thicker tone overall. the OR15 has quite a bit of gain, as much if not more than the 800. but you're also talking about a 50/100W amp vs a 15W ...

Re: Anyone move from a rocker 30 to an AD30?

Thanks guys for the replies. I dont necessarily need anymore clean head room on the rocker and I don't mind gritty cleans. Im running single coils and use a zvex superduper-2in-one that's always got one side on to really open up the natural channel. Its more the core clean tone just seems slightly ...
