Re: Video, rough mix of new song

 Yeah, some of the definition was lost between iMovie, some filters I added for fun, and the upload to Youtube, but I'm stoked on the GoPro. It really does well for outdoor action! Also, our last recording, I didn't have the Audix i5 mic for my guitar cab (just used a basic cheap-o mic for it) ...

Re: Video, rough mix of new song

If I could sing like Chino I would!! But thanks! And yeah, I know that kind of vocal is not everyone's ideal, but I'm glad you dig the music still!

If i was choosing between Michael Bolton and yourself Myke for a vocalist i think you'd win the audition
Thanks! And I'll take the vocal opinion as a compliment!

Re: Video, rough mix of new song

Good stuff! Not at all what I was expecting! Reminds me big time of the band "Pianos Become The Teeth". Keep it up! My only criticism is around 2 mins, there is a guitar break (nice chords btw). The drummer plays the same thing which he plays at the start, Seems like a little to repetitive, that th...

Re: Video, rough mix of new song

Thanks! Yeah, I'm very happy with the way the Mig recorded, and where it sits in the live mix too. It definitely cuts through and is articulate (luckily it still somewhat hides my shoddy playing at times!). And fair enough on the vocals, I know it's not for everybody! And we might be re-recording th...

Video, rough mix of new song

Hey guys! So we did some recording last weekend, here is a rough mix of one of the songs we did. I had my GoPro and used that to capture all the video. I'm using my Sovtek Mig through my Mesa. And of course, my SG. We didn't get any video of us doing the vocals, but it's me and the bassist (mostly m...

Re: Catalinbread Pedals? Echorec, specifically!

I find the Echorec needs to have the mix turned down < 11:00 to be useful, unless you want really crazy sounds. If you get time, try the Tri-Chorus toneprint! Put the delay and Regen knobs around 2:00-3:00 (there's a very small sweet spot in there), crank the mix to full, and you can get loads of c...

Hey! Rush ain't bad! Also, we're not making them rich, but Propagandhi is pretty killer too.

Looks to be OR-ish, on this angle you can see the knobs a little better.

Re: Amp Gets Quiet?

Are you using the same power outlet for both amps? It could be the power coming out of the wall in the room you're playing in, I had a similar issue with my Sovtek. Have you tried a different wall outlet or another room? I think that fixed it. Thank you! I probably should have tried that before pos...

Re: NGD!

The feel is different but very appealing and "want to play more-ish"... It is a bit neck heavy but you get use to it in about 3 minutes. The "long neck-feel" is nothing that I care about. And the neck profile is awesome! I know exactly what you mean with that description. The SG lends itself very n...

Good thing to keep in mind! Didn't know that was the case with the TV200.

 Gorgeous!! That thing looks just lovely! And really nice lined up with the rest of your guitars too. How's it feel/play?
