Could you not get something approaching a vintage Orange sound by cranking the clean channel?
Probably, but it was my first tube amp and then I played a friend's OD120 and that was it.

Re: Gibson made to measure program

It's great if you want specific finishes and hardware options. I love the idea of a heavily aged SG with aged nickel in TV Yellow. But I'd have liked to see added the option of a '59 Les Paul (the doublecut) or some Junior options as well. I know that is asking a lot and I'm sure these made to order...

Re: Advice Please. New Cab Time, baby

Yeah, looks like Avatar can match the color pretty well to the Orange tolex. I'm of the camp that a mis-match of colors ain't the end of the world. I loved the way my orange Orange OD120 looked on top of my black Mesa cab. And I think a deep blue would suit the orange color nicely too. But best opti...

That is a really good point! Didn't even register that those are just little pieces of plastic! Yeah, probably would be okay then maybe!

Re: Proof that Orange cabs are built like tanks

Brutus, a band from Norway, just had all their gear ruined in a fire at their practice space. Well, ALMOST all of their gear. https://scontent-a-atl.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/t1.0-9/1383622_755386827819247_1158468120_n.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Do you know if that cab and G...

Re: Advice Please. New Cab Time, baby

Well, there are certainly a lot of options out there, and you won't go wrong with either an Orange or Avatar cab. Never owned an Avatar but I've heard nothing but positive things about them and the build quality you get seems to be on par with an Orange or other similar cabs. Another suggestion from...

Re: NSSAD!

Is it light enough to use as a good backup amp? It's nice to have something like that that's gigable, definitely a good amp for people wanting to get into Orange but not having the dough for the proper tubesters!

Yeah, that is a great gift from a girl who actually seems to listen to you when you talk about guitar gear!

Lovely setup you have there, that AD140 looks niiiiiice!! Welcome!

Is that guitar hanging in the background what you use? Is that a vintage Jaguar?

Re: Orange Rockerverb Recorded Samples-Metal!

Sounds good, very fitting for that metal style. Are you running the RV with KT88s or El34s? I had KT88s in my old RV100 and it really tightened it up and gave it more bottom end, very similar to the sound you have here! And I also was using a stock SG at the time. Great combo!
