Re: Daisy chaining

your correct.
no real pros,
no real cons.
the dual 8 ohm outputs help if your cab isn't set up with a parallel input for daisy chaining, as a lot of vintage cabs are.

Re: PPC212 White or Orange

Can't really go wrong here, imo. Match the color of your head, maybe? In the end, the ppc will so awesome you won't care about the color.

Re: Rockerverb 50 mkii head questions!

It's my AD140 stack. I would describe it as huge, snarling doom. lol. There is absolutely no lack of clean headroom, if you want that. It can go anywhere from classic to sabbath. I use a couple boost pedals to send it into sludge/doom territory and it eats it up. I love that amp sooooo much. listen ...

Re: Rockerverb 50 mkii head questions!

Yes, If you can wait for the MKii to hit the floors, then I would. If your gas gets to you, though, and you have played a MKi and liked it, trust your gut and get what you know. It's hard for a lot of us to get to stores that carry orange for any hands on experience, but there is definitely no subst...

Re: Just Bought a DT now I need a Cab????

what style of music do you play? The PPC212 is great for heavy/hard rock. Really gives the sound "meat". The open back would be great for cleanish/low gain stuff that doesn't need to be played at high volumes, but these are generalizations. If you can, get out to a place and play them. that is the b...

Re: kt77 in rocker 30?

Can't comment about the KT77's in a Rocker, but in my AD140, I noticed a bit less mids with my previous eq settings, but was able to dial in more than enough to compensate. Huge is a good way to put the sound I try to get out of my amp, as well. The KT77 are "kinkless tetrode" version of the EL34 an...

Re: Would a Metro-Amp Zero-Loss FX Loop Kit work on a rocker-30?

Assuming that the voltages check out and you have the physical space to accommodate the pcb, I think that it would work. However, if you haven't the experience or means to take this measurements, I would say you should take your amp to a tech and ask him if it would work and how much he would charge...

Ha, I actually meant 5881, but yes, KT88's also. That feature really appeals to me lately.

Re: Thunderverb 200 vs. Overdrive pedals. . .

Are you saying that when you use your OD pedal your Thunderverb is unresponsive to volume adjustments on the amp as well as volume adjustments on the OD pedal that are greater than 11 o'clock, or that your pedal makes not significant changes when you adjust the volume on the pedal and the gain on th...

Re: "Electric Amps" vs Me!

All personality traits aside, I still would buy an Electric Amp if I had the cash. Amazing sound. I don't care about this drama or that drama. I'd buy a vintage Matamp if i had the cash, too. lol. speaking of: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200453749673&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT" ...

Re: Can I rewire Orange to 8 Ohm?

Hey Eric, Fancy seeing you here (this is daniel - systems). I heard about your endorsement, and congrats. Thats totally amazing. I'd say you should just make the go for the Thunderverb 200 or Rockerverb 100.The Thunderverb 200 has an option to drop half of the power section out making it 100 watts a...

Re: Orange AD140HTC Bias Level

No problem. I'd recommend playing around with different bias settings and see which you like best. You can find the "sweet spot" and your fine as long as you stay under around 40mA. You'll just burn through tubes a bit faster, but it's worth if for tone. Orange's are darker sounding amps, but they s...
