Re: Thinking about swapping my PPC412 out for a PPC212

I think it's a good move. Back when I lived with my parents and was able to have money, I had a Rocker 30 with an Orange 4x12. I found the 4x12 too much of a pain in the ass to load to and from practice many times a week and decided to buy a 2x12 for practicing purposes (but keep the 4x12 for shows)...

Re: Do you agree?

The Rocker 30 is as unforgiving and transparent as any amp I've played. It's totally useless for my Limpbizkit cover band. Wait you have a Limbizkit cover band too? I thought I was the only one. I do too. I do the part of the douchebag in the band.... you know who I'm talking about, all of them.

Re: Anyone have any experience with one of these?

Looks cool for studio stuff, but there's no way I'd be caught on stage with that... Just so much that can go wrong (with me anyway). Way too computery for me. I try to limit my pedals to 3 knobs because I don't wanna spend half the gig on the floor trying to figure out what's going on.

Re: Do you agree?

The Rocker 30 was my first amp after having a Mesa Boogie rectum-fryer (as a young dumb youth). I felt like I had to re-learn the guitar because all of my mistakes and subtle nuances were masked with the rectum-fryer but they were amplified and pointed out with the R30.

Re: OT: I have everything...

Good post. I used to spend a lot of time on this forum lusting after crap I didn't need because I had the money, but when you lose your job and live tightly, you realize what's actually important. A delay pedal that sounds slightly different than the one I currently have (and only I would notice the...

Re: awesomeness!!!

That was kinda disappointing watching a fat kid neck-jiggle along on an 8-string in Drop Z tuning instead of seeing Katy Perry singing the song. The music was entertaining though. I would have preferred it if they had just added the audio track to the original Katy Perry video instead. This thread ...

Re: OT: Help me with new computer! (PC only. Mac-heads no tks)

i use a dell xps desktop @ work (i7 + 8GB RAM) it wishes it was fast but it just sucks. but i mostly blame windows 7 the clock speeds are per core so you have to look at the number of cores on the cpu not just the speed (+frontside bus speed, cache etc.) turbo boost is automatic over-clocking afaik...
