Re: The new DIVO tube bias technology system explained...

Complete bollocks. One more thing to go boobs up and not at all necessary. Was there something wrong with the Orange amps as they were? Why do companies always have to fix something that isn't broken? Has that thinking ever panned out in the past, for any product? My thoughts as well. It is ...

Re: OT any reggae/early ska fans?

The Skatalites are the kings. I find that the older sets really should be undisputed in that regard. You can compare whatever you want to it but it's all pretty much a derivative from their core sound as they nail the whole Jamaican vibe better than any band that I have heard. Hell, they define it. ...

Not sure what to make of that. What did you expect it to do at full power?

You couldn't wank a bad tone out of a Rocker 30 if you were in an ABBA tribute band.

Re: NTD - New Tubes Day - KT77

KT77 is a drop-in replacement for EL34. It's got a bit more power, bandwidth, and headroom as evidenced by the German Juicer's observations. It'll have a similar effect in a TV amp, whether you like that or not is open for your interpretation.

Re: Which cab to go with the RV50? (Help a Newbie!)

Hello guys, I'm new to forum. I've been following this forum for a while. Since I'm a newbie to the wonderful tube amps, I didn't know anything about it at all. Then I stumbled across this forum, and learned a great deal of information from you guys. So much so, I bought a RV50 because so many of y...

Re: OT: Got arrested last night - THE VERDICT

Joe, sorry brother. No that isn't justice. Seeing a copper abuse his authority and perjure himself is bad. Seeing that cop hauled out of the courtroom in cuffs would be justice. I guess some people have a different understanding than I of what it means to swear an oath to tell the truth. I am in no...

Re: Anyone ever rehoused a Tiny Terror?

It's been done. Do a search here. Frankly, I think it's a waste considering the amp. It's purely cosmetic and the amp is left unchanged in terms of its performance. There are several more attractive options IMO, which improve the actual amplifier. One is having the Mercury Magnetics upgrade kit inst...

Re: Captain Beefheart aka Don Van Vliet RIP

Thats sad. 'A bit eccentric'? Beefheart was a total one off. He even made his old school pal Zappa seem pretty normal at times, and that is saying something. I keep hearing people who saw him play here (at the Concertgebouw), and he seems to have made quite some impression on them. Apparently his v...

No.

That sort of crap makes me cringe. Wasted talent IMO.

Re: humbucker music online: are they a trustworthy seller?

I am thinking of buying a head from them, has anyone had experience buying stuff from humbucker music online? Please dont mention prices as that is not allowed on this forum. No problems but you should support your local dealers rather than order gear by mail. You might be surprised at the benefits...
