I don't buy the R30 voodoo either - it is a fantastic amp, but that's all it is.

open back for low-mid volumes, closed back for high volume. generally, with many exceptions, of course,

Re: Selling amps...?

So you never managed to get rid of the mkll last time eh? The lead guitarist in 2 blyga läppar uses a Kemper.... Really hard to hear the difference when live but I can't get over it's looks.... it kind of reminds me of what people of the 50's thought things in the future would look like  ... T...

Re: NGD!

Thanks! It plays like a dream. I've searched for this model for quite a while. They're hard to find. I love the fact that is not aged in any way. I wanna wear my guitars myself. seriously! paying extra for an artificially aged guitar? not this dude. now - this is a beautiful axe! I can almost hear ...

Re: Shocker: Cabs matter

While I don't hear a lot of difference between cabs built with the same or similar materials of approximately the same size, I do hear night/day differences in the speakers that are in them. As an aside, I just took delivery of my new-to-me CRPRO412 yeaterday and got to rock it with my drummer last...

Re: thoughts on and experiences with Rockerverb MKIII?

I yearn to own a valve powered Orange head in the future. The OR100 is no more sadly, it would be my first choice however, I'm needing an amp that is capable for home use as well as for rehearsing and gigging/low to high volumes and as far as I can gather, the OR100 isn't suited for home use even w...

Re: Shocker: Cabs matter

Had practice tonight with the band but one of the other guys has a couple cabs there so I just brought my DD100 and plugged into his cab. It sounded like absolute garbage. No low end and just gross sounding. I thought maybe it was just me but one of the other players commented that it sounded reall...

Re: Eminence Red Fang, thoughts?

I was just scouring around looking to replace some old altec alnicos and stumbled across an alnico comparison video. i searched a bit and couldn't find it but if i do i'll post it. granted - you tube is not the ideal arena for choosing a speaker. but man - that red fang was impressive. sounded as go...

Re: Or120 1974

I'd have to see a clearer picture to be 100% on it, but: -Headstock carve is off (the open book carve is too deep, the bottom is too thick, and there's not enough curve to the sides). -Diamond inlay is too small. -The body carve is off, particularly the horn and the part around the upper strap butt...

Re: Rocker 30 Kt77 or El34L

what is PM? I was thinking also about 6ca7. Didn't the rocker first come with those ? I think I saw a demo or an article and all the early ones had those stock. Yeah, mine had JJ 6CA7s stock. Brilliant, no plans to change, suits the amp perfectly for my tastes. :D Andy. Really? All my amps have JJ r...
