I talked about it some more with the organizers, and they've said that they are going to have a few different amps on stage ready to go. So my amp won't be used for every band. I think I'll be okay with that.
Thanks for the all the input on this, it's an interesting subject for me.

Re: Extended use of Orange AD30htc in a live setting (risks?)
I think you should suggest to them that they provide a 4X12 cabinet and every guitarist brings their head. You aren't alone in that everyone would prefer their own head and would probably be willing to compromise with a different cab. Switchout takes all of about 4 minutes, and would keep everyone ...

Extended use of Orange AD30htc in a live setting (risks?)
So there's a bit of a band jam locally coming up, I think maybe 8 or so bands playing over the span of about 4 - 5 hours. I know most of the bands playing, and for the most part trust that they are all fairly stand-up guys (and gals). Anyways, The organizers don't want to have to change all the gear...

Right now I'm loving Titus Andronicus - The Monitor
It's just so raw, unrefined, angry.. I love it.
Arcade Fire's latest is also really awesome.

Re: So, uhh, what ARE you using for a footswitch?
I bought an aluminum enclosure which was painted orange and just put a spst latching stomp switch in there, and a a quarter inch switchcraft jack. It just shorts tip to sleeve. There's no LED, but it switches the channels just fine.
Only cost me $7 to build.. I already had the jack and switch.

Re: OFFICIAL ORANGE SOUND CLIP THREAD
Just playing around with a new song on my ad30htc. Just a basic rhythm / lead track laid down. I'm playing straight into the amp on this through my tele w/ seymour duncan lil' 59 in the bridge. The cab is a thd 2x12 clone, and the speaker I'm recording is a wgs veteran 30. Rhythm track is on channel...

I saw them in a venue of about 200 people.. 3 full stacks, cranked, as usual. Just crazy loud, loudest concert I've ever been to. It had me wishing I brought ear plugs.

The arcade fire. Both times I saw them. Once at a small venue during their funeral tour, and recently at a large concert for their Suburbs tour. Just an amazing atmosphere, both concerts just really stick out in my mind.

I think an AD50HTC would be cool. I love the AD30HTC, but I prefer el34 tubes to el84.

Re: Fender Sellabration sale at Musicians Friend for October
Just tons of good clean power. A platform for accurate amplification/reproduction of his guitar and effects.. I would think no real distinct tonal characteristics from the amp itself.
