Re: bonnaroo
Maybe i was a little quick to judge, im sure there are plenty of bands i would enjoy, but when eminem headlines it kinda kills the festival vibe for me. i'm pretty sure the fest organizers will be facing an empty field for both em and lil wayne. and good on 'em, both of those cats are terrible MCs....

Any jam heads out there?

Is there anyone on here thats a fan of the religion known as the jam band scene? Grateful dead, phish, the breakfast, RAQ, further, Mclovins, max creek, disco bisquits, moe...

Re: Thinking of switching to Bass
Only thing i can say is listen to bass oriented music like reggae, funk, etc. Its all about the timing and getting nice locked grooves with the drummer, but again, for a lot of rock/metal, bass usually takes the back seat.
+1 on the music theory, know your scales, circle of fifths, etc.

Re: Thinking of switching to Bass
I started playing guitar, but like you, i felt the groove of bass pull me in. I think its great to play both, it really helps with finger strength and understanding the relationship between lead and rhythm and harmony and what not, and what the hell, everyone loves a funky bass line  I think th...

EarthQuaker Monarch Overdrive
It's supposed to be based around the input stage of orange amps and it sounds good, but of course the few demos I've found aren't actually with oranges. Anyone have experience with this pedal?

Re: What made you fall in love with Orange?
Sleep/Om/Boris turned me on to the whole Orange/Matamp/EA thing. Idk if it was the first time i heard Sleep's Holy Mountain or when i heard that first note drone in on heavy friends by Boris, but i knew i needed one of these amps. That tone is tooooo wicked. Funny, as i dont play the "stoner rock" s...

Damn, that is really cool, especially the pickguard. Surprised you did that without actually owning an orange amp.

Re: Looking for any equipment that Jimmy Page physically used
I don't think this guy will be posting back here ever again  well it's his loss. but really, that's gotta be the worst way to introduce yrself to a forum where we discuss amps and gear and play music. 'i want to own pieces of memorabilia that if any of you do have, you probably won't want to g...
