Re: Finally got my orange!

Ps, I've never had or used a "standby" switch, so I guess I just switch to standby for a few mins before I turn it off? Also what about when I turn it on? Flick the power on, let it warm up for about 2 minutes (helps with tube life if you warm them up first), then flick the standby off so you have ...

Re: These Look Really Nice

I've always had a hard on for a strat HSS, sure its not a 'real' strat so to speak, but +1 to the versatility.

And this....

Re: The "praise the Rocker 30" thread

I borrowed a Rocker 30H and 4x12 off another band I played a show with a few months ago.

I was very impressed, especially with that natural channel.

Re: AD30 Single Channel-esque amp kits?

The TC pretty much works the same way, it doesn't have a "clean and distortion channel" of such; you can dial in what you want keeping in mind the limited headroom. Cranking the master and using the Gain as volume should get you the results you are after. But I'd recommend playing one and see if it ...

Re: Extended use of Orange AD30htc in a live setting (risks?)

I've shared my AD30TC combo out a few times (three if I remember correctly) to other bands during shows and haven't had any problems at all. The longest it was on was probably 4 hours, some of that on standby in-between bands. My biggest concern would be people mistreating it, say using it as a coas...

Hey, Although I have not seen one in person, Cranbourne Music in Melbourne have them in their eBay store, and so do some others. So I guess its already out in Oz. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ORANGE-THUNDER-30-TH30-30-WATTS-/180564515535?pt=AU_Instrument_Accessories&hash=item2a0a7bdacf" onclick="window.op...

Re: Anyone buy an Orange amp cover?

I've got an Orange cover for my AD30TC 2x12. Its not that thick and has what feels like a very thin layer of padding.

The main reason I got it was to avoid the white tolex turning into a dirt colored tolex. :D

Re: What make Guitar is Josh Homme Playing here? Thanks

I went on a tour of the Maton factory a few years back and got to play a stack of their guitars. Awesome sounding acoustic guitars, I didn't play any of their electrics.

Too bad I can't afford one atm.

I did find a nice little read the other day from supposedly current and past employees of Gibson. No idea how reliable it is as I am not familiar with the site, but they all ring the same tune: CEO = asshat. http://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/Gibson-Guitar-Reviews-E6869.htm" onclick="window.open(this....
