Re: AD30HTC - Trying to sort it out
For the sounds you're after I'd suggest a Thunderverb 50.

Re: OR15 Better with Zero Pedals?
It's difficult to find amps with an effects loop that doesn't change or alter the tone a bit. This is pretty normal.

Re: Rockerverb for Classic Rock?
So, after not too much deliberation I have joined the Orange club. Just a tentative step though. I bought a Rocker 15. The theory is that it will give me a good idea of what Orange tone is all about, yes I know, the amps all sound different but it gives me an idea. Not had even an hour with it yet ...

Re: or100 and tubes
I run a NOS Amperex Bugle Boy ECC83 in V1 and the JJ ECC83S's in V2-V3 in my OR50. Sounds awesome!

Re: No more Thunderverbs and ORs???
I was at the NAMM show this year and the Orange booth was definitely featuring more solid state and cost effective products like the Crush amps. Must be a sign of the times.

Re: Yellow jackets YJS in my Orange Ad50 Custom shop?
You can try them as others have said (if they fit) but I imagine you'll be disappointed. I've never liked the results. They tend to make an amp sound flat and mushy in my experience.

Re: TH30 fizzy sound - change tubes?
Hi there, I really like the dirty channel of my Orange TH30, but the sound is always a bit fizzy. After some research I found out that changing the preamp tubes may help. So my question: is it possible to replace the V1 (ECC83) with a JJ 5751 but still keep the ECC83 in V2? Yes, the JJ 5751 will he...

One of my favorite amps. I just love the Dirty channel. Great range of tones from classic rock to raw higher gain Orangeness.

The PPC212 and PPC412 cabs are amazing. I also prefer the 2x12. It isn't as difficult to lug around and it still sounds huge. Can't go wrong either way...

Re: Just dimed the Rocker 30 Natural Channel...
One of my favorite overdriven tones of all time is diming out the volume on the clean channel of my AD30HTC....it's that textbook classic rock tone.
