same here, I've had failing tubes cut the volume significantly. I run a MKI RV through a 2x12 every week, we play mostly hard rock, some originals, but mostly stuff like tool, billy talent, coheed and cambria etc...I rarely have to set my dirty channel past 11:00 and never have my clean channel past...

one thing i like is a tube overdrive pedal going into the clean channel but then turn the gain down all the way down on the pedal. the hardwire pedal i use has a modern/classic switch that i leave on classic and it adds a nice grit to the sound. this has a very vinatge feel to this sound. it doesn'...

I use a Keeley modded TS-9
I also use an older maxon OD 808, but for the clean channel with a little grit I use the TS-9, it blends well on all levels, warm, not grainy, takes the edge off the highs at just the right amount.
