Re: Jimi Hendrix Fehmarn 6. September 1970 Orange/Matamp Stage

I'm wondering if he did play through the backline amps or just the cabs.....

He was such an incredible musician. What a loss.

Re: Dual Dark 100 dropouts and noise?

You must likely need new power valves.

You would still need a tech as the amp would need biasing after a new set of valves.

Re: Deluxe Electric Mistress v5 compatible power supply

... true tone products are pretty solid. That's been my experience with them so far. No noise outta the One Spot that I bought to use with my black Fulltone MDV1 dejavibe. Got a 4 or 5 plug daisy-chain to power other pedals without batteries, and it did make my EHX Pitchfork noisy. But once I put t...

Re: Deluxe Electric Mistress v5 compatible power supply

You unscrew it and look inside the thing and there's TONS of empty space in the case. Willie Nelson could hide half his stash in there. He probably has 2 then, doesn't make sense to hide only 1/2 of it. Yeah, that charge pump looks to be pretty nifty. I'm also pretty impressed with the CS12, true t...

Re: Deluxe Electric Mistress v5 compatible power supply

I would do what Billy suggested. Rig a dual plug bit underneath your pedal board, so you can plug your power supply and the proprietary wall wart for the electric mistress. Once you're set up, you only have on3 power chord to plug in at set up time. I use a True tone CS12 power supply that I've been...

Sweet!!!! I love a good SG!!!! Don't sweat the fretboard - my 2012 70s Tribute has a dreaded maple neck AND baked maple fretboard! The horror!!!!! It's such a player!!!! Just great super stable neck. The fretboard isn t quite as nice looking as a streaky piece of rosewood, but it actually feels grea...

Re: Baritone guitars....

Didn't see that post!!!!!
Looks very cool!!! Does the extra l9ng neck make it back heavy?

I had a guitar tuned to C standard for a while, that was really fun to play. I bet the baritone would sound pretty different though- would love to try it!!!!

Re: Passing up great gear

Where are you moving to? Yeah, I'm GASing really bad G&L ASAT at the moment. I've got a ASAT Special Tribute I love playing (the jumbo MFD pick ups are great through my oranges), and I keep thinking the regular size MFD in the ASAT Classic would sound great too...... or perhaps an ASAT classic blues...

Re: What size machine screws for the TT Combo?

Silver screws and Sharpe 🤣 Probably the best bet! Frustrating though. Ideally, I would need 4 short and 4 long ones for my AD15 as the PZ screw heads are worn. But I've been reluctant to both buy regular silver looking steel screws in modest quantities or to buy a truck load of black screws. I've e...

Re: What size machine screws for the TT Combo?

I can't remember of they are M5 or M6 screws.

All I know (I could do with new ones for my AD15) is that they're impossible to buy in less than 100s packs in the UK if you want them in black.

Recorded a couple today with a tube MXL Genesis tube mic into my new SSL2 interface into my laptop. Sounds good but needs some reverb and compression. Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/billyclaire411/videos/10158094710250351/?notif_id=1585272907168284¬if_t=feedback_reaction_generic 1st t...

Re: New cab day!

Niiiiiiiiice. Wish I could find one of those. Those speakers rated at 50w a piece? I've been considering getting some secondary open-back cab, like a 2x10 or 2x12 for home recording where I put one mic in front and one INSIDE the back of the cab. Never tried it before, but it's an idea I've had for...
