Re: Recommendations for downsizing

So I'm looking at getting a Zilla Fatboy. Has anyone got any opinions regarding speakers though? I'm thinking just going for two V30s but the guy at Zilla suggested K100s or one of each. Any thoughts?

Re: Recommendations for downsizing

Going to look into Zilla definitely. Contacted Matamp too.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I wouldn't mind keeping the 4x12 but I don't really have the space to keep that and another cab and I don't really need a cab of that size.

Re: Recommendations for downsizing

I'm happy with the sound of the 4x12, but I just don't need such a big cab. I've not gigged in nearly two years, I use my rig once a month at practice and even when this band gets gigging we won't be playing anywhere where I need a 4x12. So I guess something which has the same speakers (they're stil...

Recommendations for downsizing

Hi, I'm thinking of getting rid of my Orange 4x12 and getting a smaller 2x12 close back as I have no need for the 4x12 and I can't be bothered to lug it around much any more. Anyone have any other suggestions for a 2x12 to look into? Also (and apologies if this is breaking the rules, if so feel free...

Nice tune dude. Are of you guys in Ravachol or am I think of Kasa (I know Mikee is in both, but wasn't sure if there was another link with a Cornwall based band)?

Re: Pedal Board Loom

I built a switch for my RV a couple of years ago and it was pretty simple, but this is my mate's kind of thing. He's building random pedals and stuff more at the moment so he said he'd give it a blast as he's got all the bits he needs already.

Re: Pedal Board Loom

Thanks for these. Had a look earlier and they seem to be what I'm after. Chatting to a mate today though and he's going to maybe try and build me something, so we'll see how that goes.

Re: Pedal Board Loom

That second image, is exactly what I'm after. Although the first one would be useful from the patch bay to the amp! Thanks very much. I'll have a look for patch bays!!

EDIT:
Any pointers as to where to look? I keep getting some really random results when I search for stuff (or studio patch bays).

Reverb valve suggestions

I'm going to buy a replacement valve for my RV 50 MKI reverb. Any one got any suggestions of a decent brand/type of valve to get?

Cheers

Pedal Board Loom

I know you can get pedal boards with built in looms, but can you get a box that you can add to a board to do the same job? I've had a quick look but haven't seen anything, but then I could be looking for the wrong thing altogether. I'm thinking as I have my channel switch, my reverb switch and my FX...

Re: Pedal Board Help

Thanks for all the advice. I manage to get quite a wide reel of velcro in the end and have attempted to stick it to the board. We shall see how well it sticks!

Next up deciding on a power supply!

Re: Pedal Board Help

Cheers for that. I'd been looking at a Belcat one on gear4music.co.uk, but this would work out I currently power them and it's probably easier for me to daisy chain them than have each with its own power lead.

Re: Pedal Board Help

I'm in the UK. I've ordered some 100mm wide velcro strips so I should be ok as I've ordered more than I need. Hopefully get to work on it over the weekend if the stuff turns up.

Then I just need to get a proper power supply for it and it's pretty much sorted bar ordering and any new pedals.
