So my advice would be either an Orange Rockerverb or a Fender amp like a Deluxe Reverb. And the new Dual Terror? It will be 30W... Thanks! Yeah - but 30w isn't that much louder than 15 to begin with - and using a TT for cleans (even the 30 watter) isn't going to be loud enough clean to hang with a ...

I do play with some thick distortion.. Not to the metal extent, but its pretty 'gainy'. I also love tele's and would love a quiet one haha. I was thinking about SD hot rails as well. Depends too, on what amp you're playing through. I have the RV50 - so I like having the single coil tone with all th...

I've had my RV50 half stack for over 4+ years now. I do own one other amp - but it's for completely different tones. Before the RV50 I was on an amp search for over 30 years. The RV ended that. Everyone who hears it loves the tone. It does not have the clarity/note separation/tightness of some other...

They sound good. Quiet? No - you're taking a normal single coil pickup and adding more winds to it - i.e., more noise producing factors. Now - they're not bad if you're using them for bluesy type OD, but you ARE going to get more noise the more gain/distortion you hit them with. There are plenty of ...

Re: Who says Orange amps aren't versatile?
Last night rehearsing with my metal band, and right at the end of the evening I found that with the gain dimed, the reverb dimed and my Danelectro Vibe switched on, I can get a feedback sound out of my Rockerverb that sounds exactly like an air raid siren! :D I'll be testing this theory this aftern...
