Re: Hey dudes :)

Cool score man! Chappers gets a mixed reaction here - but I'm not going to open the floor up to debate on his character or his playing. I haven't heard of many mods to the RV50 circuit, probably because the schematic and PCB are difficult to wrap out puny minds around  Oh and of the six small t...

They don't make them anymore, but I had never heard anything quite like it. Never going to sell mine :)

Re: O!

I didn't mean to be overly critical, and I apologise if that was the case. I consider myself to be an average consumer and the O does not cater to my needs in the slightest. Maybe it will take off, who knows? I'm guessing there isn't much competition in this market so best of luck to them. :)

Re: O!

Thanks for the link, but that sales rep is RETARDED. All I took away from his pitch was.... "like." This doesn't grab me at all. I haven't been to Orange HQ but I bet there is a whole room of similar prototypes of failed experiments. Somehow this one got into Musikmesse and started wreaking havoc. I...

Re: Tube Screamer Turbo!

Can someone please clarify this for me, I have never fully understood... What is the difference between a tube screamer and a clean boost? The clean boost function on my Boss GE-7 basically just added a bit more hair to the tone. I have yet to try a tube screamer out so I don't have much comparison....

Re: OT: Give me tips on stripping...

But seriously, if that is a post mid-1950's Fender, then the finish on it is probably in layers like this: Polyurethane coat (thick and hard and shiny) Black paint Polyurethane coat (thin) Sand/sealer (possibly grain-filler, not sure about Birdseye maple grain depth) Bare wood As said before, to tak...

Re: Really good day!

I have heard nothing but excellent things about the Ceriatone Dumble kits. Another version I have been looking at is by BrownNote... The impression I got from what I have read is that the Dumbles were designed to cover a very wide sonic landscape. YMMV but in my opinion this is not always a good thi...

Re: Father/Son Project Guitar Build

Nitro feels best to me personally. Lets the wood breath and as far as I know is one of the easiest to maintain and repair nicks in.

Takes a while to cure but that shouldn't be a problem if you are buying the neck etc. once you have finished the body.
