In fact Matamp was before Orange... ;)

...then was Orange-Matamp (like the one Jimmy Page used) and then in eary '70s first Orange was born....GRO100 and simillar pics-only, they say....

hy ...my dreams came true!!!! I got an orange GRO100 head small pics only, 100w, '72...I paid $800 for it and its the best amp I've ever heard... ...I got an early Checkerboard cab, too...it has Rola-Celestion G12M-25 ("greenbacks") and sond good, but I'm not satisfied...It has to be an Basketweave ...

my guess is, it's a late OR120 modell...that GT I don't know what it means...


I will probably have a GRO100, that has a OA100c mark...

try with later OR120 schematics...maybe GT means GuiTar :)

yes...I wish too.... the guy told me, that there are many interesents...I hope not :))) I have $$$ with me, but not enaugh...I tought I can give him in advance that cash, but he didn't want... I have an Engl head to sell(all tube, 50w), but thare are no interesents...for the cab will be much more ea...

ok here I am!!! here's what I've seen... '72 pix only GRO 100(that's what is written on the back-pannel) - OA100C(what's writthen on the front(metal) pannel and head-cabinet)... the serial of the inside is 690 or 680(I don't remember) and of the cabinet is OA-and something... what I've seen stranege...

uh...sorry.... the url is: www.engl-amps.com well...they are fantastic amps...maybe I can get all out of it because I use it with a marshall 1933 1x12" cab...next week I'll be a happy owner of a 1970 Basketweave or a '70s Orange cab...i'll see what I'll decide...but i think it will be marshall... :)...

...but i zhink that everyy guitarist is all his life trying to get his own personal sound... well..sorry...I forgot...I have a LesPaul Custom w/3 HB, '74(20th anniv.), and I can get beautiful combinations and tones from it...the guitar does everything...from brilliant clean to (almost)rocky crunch.....

it's really a personal thing wht you like...

but when I had pedals everyone told me, that I don't need them....I haven't beieved to anyone...now I see, that the fingers can create really different sound...you have to be imaginative!! :)))

I don't really think you need any pedals...

all you need is a good vintage guitar, a good amp from 70's a good vintage cabinet obviously, cables and...YOUR FINGERS!!!

pedals suck!!!! better to buy an OD80/120 if you want distortion...
