TT Cutting Out?

So my year-old Tiny Terror seems to have developed a problem since my re-location to New Zealand. I'm playing away and then the volume drops, quite a lot (though I can still hear the sounds), and then kicks in again. Thought it was my pedal board or leads but I've plugged several different leads str...

Re: OT: Giving up and starting again

We're off to Auckland, so I'm looking at it like swapping one city for another, only with a lot less people and more green trees. After sitting up here in the cold and wet North West of England for a few days, it doesn't feel odd at all that I've just given up my job and London way of life. I'm taki...

OT: Giving up and starting again

Not the guitar! That's the only thing that'll keep me sane. After 15 years in the same industry, I left London today after nine of those years and am now sat at my folks' home with my girlfriend. We've got two weeks here to say our goodbyes before moving to New Zealand (my GF is a Kiwi). Anyone else...

Don't sell it all. You'll only end up buying it back further on down the line...

Re: Setting yourself up as a Guitar Teacher

What about charging? Any guidelines on that?

One hour with a Guitar Institute tutor would set you back £35 per hour in London. That's a lot (though they're qualified up to the eyeballs).

Re: Setting yourself up as a Guitar Teacher

Any advice to someone about to give it a try? (Try not to put me off too much:-)) I consider that the Paul Gilbert videos are very instructive. I've seen many people watching these videos only with the purpose to learn how to teach. Yeah, I'm a huge fan of PG and have sat there many a time in front...

Setting yourself up as a Guitar Teacher

After 15 years of being a journo/writer/editor I leave my big London job at the end of next week to move to New Zealand. A big change (my missus is from there and we've decided to give it a go). So failing me not being able to get another job in publishing (don't know if I want to either) the only o...

Re: OTAny UK people going to see the Patriots playing in London?

Considering there's pretty much Zero NFL coverage over here (apart from the Superbowl), these one-off games always sell out.
