Re: Bad Volume Pot?

Well......Finally got around to sorting this out. One of the wires was not soldered and was meerly wrapped around another wire that was soldered to the outer lug of the volume pot. It came from the factory that way! After fixing that, I still had no sound. Then I took out the pot and tested it. Sure...

Re: Bad Volume Pot?

Yeah. The wire to the bridge is grounded to the back of the volume pot, in a separate spot, and a light tug on the wire to the bridge is nice and snug. I checked the connection to the input jack, a-ok. Maybe I should clean the old solder off the volume pot and re-solder all connections?

Bad Volume Pot?

Hey Guys! Could you help me with a guitar wiring question? I think I might have a bad volume pot. I have a Epi Special that I am experimenting on. It's a 2 humbucker, 1 volume, 1 tone, 3 way toggle. I have it wired correctly after checking the schematic several times. When I plug in and hold the gui...

Re: Tiny Terror Documentary

I would not have bought my Rockerverb if I didn't first own a Tiny Terror. Awesome amp. It's the gateway drug of the brand for me.

Re: NAD - M*rshall 1987X

It will void the warranty, but clip the bright cap off of the treble channel. I did this with mine and it made it sound much better. It's a worthwhile mod.

Re: RIP BB King

Just listening to Let the Good Times Roll with Brad Paisley circa 2008. BB King was such a great musician. I'm sure he's letting the good times roll on the other side too!

Re: 16 ohm amp into a 8ohm cab

Again, thanks for clearing this up. Any time I have done a mismatch it has been within the safe range, but now I know which is the proper way to do it.

Matamp? I hope it comes in good condition. I worry about things being shipped from that distance.

Re: NAD: Marshall 2466 & 425A

I love the Vintage Moderns! Great amp. Congrats!! Do yourself a favor and invest in some vintage KT-66's. Genelex are the way to go, but they are expensive. Otherwise, I have great success with Valve Art KT-66's. Again, nice amp!!

Re: Sayin' Hi and Chiming in...

Glad to hear you are enjoying your Orange. About the cabinet. I had a similar setup, but it was 8 ohms on both sides. Somebody else please confirm, but it's my understanding the 2 16 ohm speakers wired in series yields 8 ohms.
