Yeah I'll 2nd this. My brother just got a rackmount version of the Bass Driver, which is essentially the same thing. Great thick overdrive and lots of cool sounds available.

Re: WARNING: Silverstone amp covers UK

I've also had similar problems with this company, cover didn't turn up for weeks and only finally arrived after I threatened to "take action" over it. The thing that annoyed me the most was that the guy had obviously been reading my emails (going by what he said when he finally replied), but only re...

Re: katie perry pic thread

Does anyone know why it says "RUSTY" across Katy's posterior region in the preceding photo? I don't know if it's the name of a footballer or if that's what she named her trombone, or something else entirely. I believe it stands for russel, some athlete, soccer or foorball i don't know. His name is ...

Re: Making a reactive load from a speaker

So say I found a 16 ohm, 100w resistor I could wire that up to a speaker jack (with adequate cooling) and use that as a dummy load? I'm not bothered about using a speaker as well as the load, just need something to take the place of a speaker.

Making a reactive load from a speaker

Hey, Don't know how many people here have messed around with attenuators/ load boxes, but I've got a n00bish question regarding such things: I noticed that a lot of loadboxes say that they use a speaker motor to create a load which reacts in the same way as a real speaker. My question is, if I had a...

Slightly OT: Double tracking guitars

For those of you who are into recording: When you double track guitars (esp. when going for a 'heavier sound), what's your method to get some differentiation between the 2/4 takes? I usually try changing gain / eq / mic placement for the 2nd take as I don't want to end up with effectively the same t...

Re: Finally!!!

Cheers. Think Sam just used SM58s. I'm sure I have a photo of the cab's mic'ed up. I'll have a look tomorrow for it. I know he added hardly anything on when mixing and stuff as we were more than happy with the sound. Awesome, would be great to see that pic if you can find it, very much appreciated!...

Re: Finally!!!

Any chance of some info on the production? Mic'ing technique etc. (if you know!). The guitars sound great.
