Way cool, congrats!
I always thought the festival/park gigs were fun because you do get to open up the big amps.

Re: It alwys pays to look
Very strange that I just happen to pop on here to find that quote. Still have those pickups in the same ES-335 that I absolutely love. It’s become my #2! As a matter of fact I do still have the BP30. I’ve played with a bunch of anos preamp tubes but the biggest helper for me was replacing the Red F...

Re: RIP: Tom Petty
I always viewed Petty and all of his crew as "late" classic rock in terms of their age compared to say the Stones. And since they were still producing great music I thought they would keep trucking for some time to come. I felt a bit of musical solace, which I didn't know I would lose when his death...

Look up the Glyn John's recording method and you'll be set with a little time.

Re: Rockerverb 50 mkiii vs AD30
The valves don't have a lot of use on the AD30. I replaced them maybe 2 years ago but that amp hasn't had a lot of use up until now. My OR50 has taken the lions share of the gigs the past few years when I was playing primarily Classic Rock with some blues thrown in. More of a mid gain base tone for ...

Re: Rockerverb 50 mkiii vs AD30
The RV MKIII has more gain for sure but it doesnt have to be the high gain monster if you don't want it to be. I run the gain around 2 o'clock and it has really smooth lead tone but then I roll my lp back to about 6 and it has a perfect rhythm crunch. When I play and AD30 (at shops and friends), I ...

Re: Rockerverb 50 mkiii vs AD30
Hello good to see you back. I'm sure the Rvmkii will sound great, but just a thought ...To get the most clean out of the ad30htc have you tried using the gain knob on channel one as a volume control?..... Certainly the cheapest option. So turn gain to zero, max volume control then dial in the gain ...

Rockerverb 50 mkiii vs AD30
Wow, I haven't posted for a looooooooong time, but I still drop in and read from time to time. I've picked up a new project in the last couple of months that has me wanting a channel switcher as a dedicated clean channel is needed. Lots of classic rock and blues/soul type music. I currently have an ...

Re: Tech 21 FlyRig 5?
I picked up a used (original version) one at a really good price a while back. I haven't gigged with it but I would say I could get by with it as a back up. I think the amp-like sounds are very passable with a good PA and it wouldn't be a big deal to use one live IMO. The only downsides I've found a...

Re: Reducing fuzz on the OR15
I've typically found Orange amps kind of fizzy with the stock 12ax7 in the first pre-amp tube (V1) position. To help with this I've used a 5751 in the first position of my Tiny Terrors and even my OR50 at one time to help turn the fizz into more of a growl. If you have access to one it's simply pull...
